La manière Magnifique

‘La Manière Magnifique’ is in the exuberant Italian style, which threw a sparklinlg glow on the reign of Louis XIV. The Italian baroque, with its abundance of drama and action, was especially suitable for this approach.

This CD contains concertos, suites, and airs of Louis and Francois Couperin, St. Colombe, Henry Dumont, and others from the time of the flowering of the viola da gamba in France.
